Welcome, kittens!

I'm not your typical cat lady. I don't have any cats- in fact, I'm allergic to them. So WHY in the world is my name so cat-driven?

What entices me is the symbolism of a cat. They are the symbol of fierceness, confidence and independence. They can purr, they can claw and they always land on their feet. While they do have the reputation of being aggressive and mean, you can't deny that they are regal, majestic creatures, can you? Nope.

When entering college, I created my @AyshKittyMeow Twitter handle because I thought it was cute and cheeky, but what I didn't know is that the "fierce feline" mentality would stick with me as I went through my entire college experience. The world needs more fierce felines (men and women) so I've created this blog to share the journey to becoming just that. At first, the thought of being an individual in a world that is so professionally driven seems like the impossible, but this blog is about striking a balance that is appropriate, fun and without sacrificing your individuality.

In my opinion, I feel like most people walk the line between who they are and who they think they should be. This blog is for the person who wants to keep it classy, but doesn't want to lose that fierce "edge" that makes you so fabulously you. Maybe you don't identify with this whole feline thing, but hopefully something in this blog inspires you to be exactly who you want to be- no regrets, no apologies.

This isn't my first time at the blogging rodeo. I've toyed with a makeup blog and a professional blog before thinking- why not combine the two, along with everything else?! I'll be covering tops like career advice, fashion, favorite quotes, and lifestyle (food, travel, etiquette, etc.)
